WITH SO MUCH RELIGIOUS NOISE OUT THERE, I HESITATE TO ADD ANOTHER VOICE; HOWEVER,…
…this verse of Scripture has attached itself to my mind. Please allow me just a few thoughts.
HAS HOPE BECOME A RARE COMMODITY?
It is THE anchor of the soul!…sure and steadfast. If we lose it, we lose everything!
HE IS THE GOD OF HOPE!
Hallelujah! What then is His desire for you and me? “To fill us with all JOY and PEACE”…even in the midst of the uncertain and unprecedented now and now.
WHAT CAN WE DO?
Choose to trust/believe Him…not finite man with flawed reasoning nor in our own resources…but in Him,…eternal, loving, infinite, sovereign, unfailing, omnipotent, etc. etc. etc…..No one like Him!
THE RESULT OF PLACING OUR FAITH IN THIS GOD????
Hope that not only fills us up…but overflows…even to instill hope in others!
THE ANSWER TO THE “HOW”…..THE AGENT OF CHANGE!
There it is…”by the power of the Holy Spirit”. It never has been about me and you…our abilities, our charisma, our “positive thinking”, our connections, our works…
IT BEGINS WITHIN…
…as we yield ourselves…present our bodies…totally surrendered…utterly abandoned to the Spirit within us.
HOPE WILL RISE…
…not only for the now and now but also for the by and by…a living hope… an inheritance which is…
…imperishable
…undefiled
…unfading
…reserved in heaven for us! (I Peter 1:3-4)
TO GOD BE THE GLORY!
A personal note: Thank you so much for your concern, love, and prayers. I am fine. My health is good. My spirit is strong. I am blessed. I am awaiting the opportunity to once again begin traveling here and abroad to come alongside my brothers…many of whom are suffering during this time. God richly bless each of you. Don’t lose HOPE! As I close this letter, I would echo the writer of Hebrews who said, “Let us hold fast the confession of our HOPE without wavering for He Who promised is faithful.” [10:23]
